Our Mission
Homeward Bound Osan is an animal shelter completely run by donations and volunteers. We aim to help Department of Defense (DoD) members, including Active Duty, Civilians, and SOFA Contractors, and their communities, by sheltering and rehoming relinquished or abandoned pets. We primarily serve Osan AB, then other USFK bases in our vicinity as capabilities allow.

Homeward Bound Osan (HBO) is also responsible for working alongside the Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) and Pest Management regarding stray animals located on base. This is based on HBO capabilities and assessment of the animal from the VTF.
Our Story
Established in March 2011, Homeward Bound Osan is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter run solely by volunteers. Through its love of animals, Homeward Bound Osan has become a leader in connecting and strengthening the community. Volunteers, board members, fosters, and adopters have spent countless hours ensuring animals are protected and rehomed safely. We do not receive any government funding and operate solely on the generosity of our donors.
